As a chef, Myrthe has fought against injustice in the kitchen, with colleagues and at an organizational level, against injustices such as racism, sexism and homophobia.

The day she started at Chalmers as head chef, she had the opportunity to make a difference. There she began by feeling and expressing that everyone should feel welcome regardless of gender, ethnicity, experience, religion or sexual orientation.

Will, passion, joy

What she beautifully expressed is what I want in our kitchen is will, passion, joy, security, willingness to learn and teach.

Today, many different people are represented with everything mentioned above at home in Universeum’s kitchen. To teach and coach everyone to want to work in a kitchen, where they are driven and passionate about sustainability, food, joy and team spirit. To belong as you are, whoever you are!

Myrthe was on hand to receive the prize check for SEK 30,000 during the Kocklandslaget’s edition on June 20 in Stockholm. Award winners were Matts Andersson, for the Swedish Chefs Association and Jimmy Åström, Business Area Manager for Textilia HoReCa Norr.

About the price
