SHRIMPS SHELL ON, MSC

These large, fine shrimos are caught in the Barents Sea, cooked on board the fishing boat and then put in brine. The brine helps the shrimps retain their fine colour, good taste and firm texture.
After landing, the shrimp are sent to our production facility. There, the brine is drained from the prawns before they are finally packed in our fine cardboard boxes or plastic trays.
The prawns are firm and fine in the flesh, maintain an even size and have a slightly milder saltiness than normal fresh prawns. The shell is also a little softer than on fresh shrimp, which makes them easier to peel. The shrimps come from an MSC-labelled sustainable fishery.
The prawns should not be marketed as “fresh” because they have been preserved in brine. However, they have never been frozen.
